Dear Dave and Staff, ..."my experiences with this competition....the students really 'got into it' after they got started....They decided to divide the sub-topics among themselves...I found some Bill Nye, the Science Guy videos we had in the school library.. These videos helped them to understand the info they found...they also spent time working on the electricity cost math problems and making sure each one was comfortable in the process...The students felt confident in what they learned and were not stressed about the process - you made it all so easy for them....Some of their gifted support goals were enhanced by this competition, especially the ones using technology, research, and group problem-solving...I like the way you gave them subtopics to consider....two weeks was long enough to get the info without being too long and getting bored with it....The students enjoyed the humor in some of the questions
.... thanks again for the opportunity!!" - Sue Duppstadt - Chestnut Ridge skd@crsd.k12.pa.us
